Delete your Meetle account
How to delete your Meetle account and everything associated with it, what we remove immediately, and the few things we are required to keep.
Delete it yourself, in the app
This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately — no request, no queue, no waiting on us.
- Open Meetle and sign in.
- Go to Settings, then "Privacy and data".
- Tap "Delete my account" and confirm.
Your account and its data are deleted straight away. You will be signed out, and the account cannot be recovered afterwards.
If you cannot use the app
If you have uninstalled Meetle, lost access to your Google account, or cannot sign in for any other reason, write to support@meetle.app from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it.
We will verify that the request genuinely comes from the account holder, action it, and confirm to you in writing within 15 days — sooner in almost every case.
Include nothing more than the email address on the account. Please do not send identity documents; we do not need them and we do not want to hold them.
What is deleted
- Your profile — name, date of birth, gender, city, bio, photos, and interests.
- Your account and sign-in credentials.
- Plans you created, and your participation in plans hosted by others.
- All of your messages and chat media, including photos and videos.
- Your trusted contacts.
- Your ratings and trust score.
- Your dating profile and any matches, if you turned dating mode on.
- Your notification settings and device push tokens.
What we keep, and why
A small amount of data survives deletion, because removing it would put other people at risk or would break a legal obligation. None of it is used to contact you or to rebuild your profile.
- Safety reports, blocks, and SOS events — kept where we need them to protect other members or to meet a legal obligation. Reports made about you are not erased by deleting your account, so that someone cannot escape a safety record by signing up again.
- View-once media you sent — permanently deleted after a seven-day window, during which it can still be produced in response to a moderation or legal complaint.
- Consent records — retained for as long as the law requires, as proof of what you agreed to and when.
Everything else goes.
Download your data first
Deletion cannot be undone, so if you want a copy, export it before you delete. In the app: Settings, then "Privacy and data", then "Download my data" — you will get all of it in a machine-readable file.
